   Hi Dale
   Thanx for the fantastic blog… You can’t image how excited I was to discover it as I have been researching affiliates forever, and never got any clear indication what to do. I think the question page is great but it appears that the links to post the questions don’t quite work? Can I just post my questions on your blog?

   Hi Dale
   Hope you will be patient with me, but I need to understand this affiliate marketing stategy if I’m going to succeed. In the blog Moral Responsibility you speak about 2 methods, one is the affiliate link in the website which I understand, the other is you yourself directing visitors to the affiate to build a database. I can’t quite grasp that concept. Do you put a teaser or something similiar on you website, get an email and then you forward the link via email or how does the concept work. Thank for the fantastic blog. Its fantastic!

   I’ve got one more daunting question… How does one go about sending out bulk emails or newsletter. Do you just use your mail client ie. outlook and just load in the email addresses (distribution list) or do you need to target a particular organisation?

   Hi Stanley

   Instead of sending some one strat to the affiliate link , you put in a newsletter sign up , but use the form as part of a registration.

   IE – if you are promoting an ebook the newsletter sign up form would say – Fill in your name and email address to get your ebook , then once they have filled in the form you send them to the affiliate program.

   For this you need an email system – the one i use is aweber, but there are others on the net. Just search around and see which one you like

   Dale you seem to have been in this field for a while now. I have only basically begun as an affiliate.
   One burning question to yourself and other affiliates out there.
   Lets say I have a powerful optimized site and joined an affiliate lets say for eg Silversands
   and specifically targeted their keywords and within a few months jumped their main keyword would they be in their rights to ban my affiliate account?
   your views ?

   Hi Derek

   My advice here is don't try and compete with the merchant because they will get upset if you are targeting their brand name and if you do out rank them it is possible they could terminate your account. Rather find other keywords to rank for.
